The Bachelor of Counselling is a three-year degree programme that combines personal growth and professional skill development to prepare graduates for a meaningful career in counselling. Counsellors journey with individuals, couples, and families to navigate challenges, foster growth, and facilitate change.
This programme offers a unique blend of courses designed to foster transformation in heart, mind, and awareness. Students will gain the knowledge and skills to support children, young people, and adults facing challenges such as grief, trauma, addictions, relationship struggles, parenting issues, lack of confidence, anxiety, depression, and social or cultural disconnection.
Study options include:
- Onsite learning at our Tauranga campus.
- Distance learning from anywhere in New Zealand.
All students, whether studying onsite or by distance, are required to attend two block courses on campus each year in March and August. Full-time study requires a commitment of 35–40 hours per week, while part-time students should plan for a day each week for each course studied.
